Great Deer Trophy Mount on Wooden Carved Plaque c. 1898

A large antique deer (Capreolus capreolus) trophy on a wooden carved plaque with dark brown finish. The trophy was shot in the late 19th century.

Trophies are mementos from the hunted game, which are kept by the huntsmen as a souvenir or decorative item. For many centuries it was a tradition to collect trophies. Now these trophy's are becoming more and more popular as decorative highlights in hunting lodges.

The delivery crew will call you when they are on their way, approximately 1/2 hour prior to arriving.

Customer Self Pick-Up

If you choose to pick-up your purchase, please be sure to bring enough manpower to move your items into your vehicle. Remember to bring sufficient blankets/bubble wrap/rope if necessary. Patina is not responsible for any damage incurred with your move. We request that all purchases be picked up within 1 week from date of purchase.
