The interior lid is embossed in gilt with the name and address of George Chiverton, M.P.S., a homeopathic chemist of Tunbridge Wells—an elegant historical detail that adds authenticity and charm.

The exterior showcases a smooth finish with a warm, honeyed tone and subtle inlay around the escutcheon. The interior, in contrast, delights with vibrantly swirled marbled paper, reflecting the high-quality artisan detailing of the period.
