This circa 1920 Sarouk rug is part of a unique chapter in Persian carpet history. Woven in Iran’s Arak region, Sarouks were prized for their dense wool and floral designs. To suit American tastes of the time, many were later “painted” after arrival in the U.S.—with the field color deepened by hand to a rich red or burgundy while preserving the original motifs. 

Painted Sarouks are now appreciated as a unique historical artifact, representing a specific period in the global art and trade of Persian rugs.

Furniture Delivery

Patina recommends Monogram Logistics for local furniture delivery.

Their white-glove delivery includes bringing all items into your room of choice, unpacking, and removing packing material. Delivery may incur an additional fee for more than one flight of stairs, heavy items and the removal or moving of your own furniture.

The delivery crew will call you when they are on their way, approximately 1/2 hour prior to arriving.

Customer Self Pick-Up

If you choose to pick-up your purchase, please be sure to bring enough manpower to move your items into your vehicle. Remember to bring sufficient blankets/bubble wrap/rope if necessary. Patina is not responsible for any damage incurred with your move. We request that all purchases be picked up within 1 week from date of purchase.
