A beautifully detailed Victorian-era ceramic pitcher with transfer-printed Greco-Roman chariot scene, set against a rich iron-red glaze and finished with a hinged pewter lid. Stylized neoclassical motifs wrap the base and handle, giving this piece a striking presence. Marked with a British diamond registry stamp dating to August 20, 1876. Likely produced by one of the prominent Staffordshire potteries of the period.
