Framed Vintage Fortuny Panels

$450.00

Fabulous framed vintage Fortuny silk fabric.

The textiles of Mariano Fortuny are some of the most enduring designs of the 20th century. Born in Spain, in 1871 and moved to Venice in 1889. Fortuny was a talented artist and an expert of the technique called “katagami” – a Japanese fabric printing process. Fortuny’s collection of textiles are still made today with the same techniques that the artist invented, using the same machinery that he personally installed in his factory.

Every piece of fabric is a work of art, unique in terms of color and similarity, which, like all precious objects, is to be handed down from generation to generation.

Art measures 18.5" wide x 22.5" high
